• April to September: Registration opens at 6 am, and competitors must finish by 6 pm.  
• October to March: Registration opens at 8 am, finishing cutoff is 8 pm.

Registration is completed at the Three Peaks visitor centre in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, where you'll receive an official time card to be stamped at each summit. Standard entry costs £5-10 depending on the month. 

Here are some key three peak timings to be aware of when planning your challenge:

• Late March to October: Best conditions, longer daylight hours and temperate weather. Most popular time.
• Mid-June to August: Peak visitor season, trails can be busier. 
• January and February: Most testing under short daylight and potential wintry hazards.  
• Easter weekend: Exceptionally high visitor numbers, trails very busy.  
• First Saturday of September: Annual Three Peaks Race day, trails extremely congested.

Be aware some areas have restrictions on wild camping. Peak District authorities advise not starting after 2 pm between October and March due to significantly reduced daylight.
